Frequently Asked Questions

  • A postpartum doula supports you after the baby arrives. My job is to help you recover, rest, and settle into life with a newborn. Different from a birth doula, someone who helps navigate the labor and delivery, a postpartum doula specializes in the “fourth trimester".” Helping families with infant care, household needs, and emotional support.

  • Yes! I am experienced in providing daytime and overnight support. Each family is different and has different needs, so some families prefer daytime care to have time to ask questions, get work done around the house, or catch some daytime naps. Others prefer nighttime care to get a full night’s sleep while baby is in my care.

Whatever the desired schedule, I work with families to make the most out of my time supporting them.

  • I support newborn sleep in gentle, responsive ways, helping families learn to read cues, create routines, and set the stage for healthy sleep over time.

  • Yes, my postpartum doula training included lactation support training. While I am not an IBCLC I have the foundational knowledge to help assist in lactation support, trouble shoot, and know when it may be time to call in back up if needed!

  • For me, trauma-informed care means meeting you with compassion, not assumptions. I recognize that every family comes with their own story, and I never walk into a home expecting one “right” way to parent, feed, or bond with your baby.

It means I move gently, checking in before offering advice, honoring your boundaries, and making space for whatever emotions are coming up. Whether you’ve experienced birth trauma, loss, complicated family dynamics, or just the overwhelm of a major life change, I’m here to support you without judgment.
